5. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove two screws attaching the lower HAX
belt bracket to the assembly. Figure 7-17 shows one of the two lower HAX belt
bracket screws being unscrewed.

Note:
Examine the orientation of the VAX column and HAX motor and
pulley in relationship to the bracket (called out in Figure 7-17) and
the base. When you finish preparing the new picker assembly,
install it on the base in this same orientation to the HAX belt and
bracket.
6. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to loosen the first four screws (called out in Figure
7-17) attaching the motor and belt pulley at the base of the VAX column to the
first of its two bearings.
7. Rotate the VAX column to expose the second set of four screws, then unscrew
them using the #1 Phillips screwdriver.
8. Carefully lift the robotic assembly horizontally off the HAX bearings. Place the
assembly on its side.
9. Remove the small binder clip used in Step 2 on page 32. Carefully move the
picker head to the proper position for repackaging. Set the robotic assembly
aside for repackaging and return to Spectra Logic.
