Preparing the Library

1. On the LC, log in as a user with superuser or administrator privileges.
2. From the toolbar menu, select Configuration > Controllers. The Controllers
screen appears (Figure 8-2).

3. Select Replace for the QIP that needs replacing; a Feedback Required window
asks if you are sure you want to replace the QIP.
Caution:
Do not select Remove; this removes it from the partition, so the
QIP will not be available when the new QIP is installed.
4. Select OK; another Feedback Required window indicates that the existing QIP
has been successfully shut down; do not select anything else on the LC until
after the QIP has been physically replaced.
