6. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on either side of the
protective plate (Figure 6-4) on the old LCM/RCM, as well as on the new one.

7. Remove the plates from both of the modules.
8. Eject the compact flash disk from the new LCM/RCM by pushing the compact
flash eject button (Figure 6-5).
If necessary, you can use a blunt object to do this, such as a small screwdriver.

9. Eject the compact flash disk from the old LCM/RCM and insert the original
compact flash disk into the new LCM/RCM.
10. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to re-attach the protective plate to the new LCM/
RCM.
11. Place the new LCM/RCM into the empty slot and push it gently in.
12. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws on both ends of the LCM/
RCM.
13. The library automatically reboots; when it is done, make sure that the main
login screen appears on the LC.
14. When it is ready, use your backup software to restart backups running to the
library.
15. You are now ready to package the LCM/RCM and ship it to Spectra Logic for
inspection; proceed to Chapter 9. Returning Components.
