4. Pull outward on the handle.
5. Place the old QIP to the side for return to Spectra Logic.
6. Place the new QIP into the emptied QIP slot and push it gently in.
7. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to tighten the two screws on the right side of the
QIP.
8. Reconnect any cabling to the QIP.
9. Re-insert any of the old QIP's SFPs into the new QIP.
10. Return to the LC at the front of the library.
11. Select OK in the Feedback Required window; a progress window appears with
bars showing progress.
The Controllers screen refreshes to show the new QIP functioning in the old
QIP's place; it is already configured with the old QIP's information.
12. Use your backup software to restart any backups that were running to drives on
the QIP that was replaced.
13. You are now ready to package the QIP and ship it to Spectra Logic for
inspection; proceed to Chapter 9. Returning Components.
