portShow
Displays the status of the specified port.
Synopsis
portshow [slot/]port
portshow [options] [slot/]geport arguments optional_arguments
Description
Use this command to display general port status and specific configuration parameters for the
specified port
If this command is executed for a specified port with no additional options, it displays general
status and configuration for that port. If executed with optional arguments for a gigabit Ethernet
(GbE) port, the command displays specific FCIP related port configuration parameters, such as the
following:
The following general information is displayed when the command is issued for a non-GbE port
without additional arguments:
portName
portHealth
Authentication
portDisableReason
portCFlags
portFlags
portType
portState
514
Address resolution protocol (ARP) entries
IP interfaces on the GbE port
Static routes on the IP interfaces
Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP) tunnel configuration settings
Port Mode information
FICON parameters
VLAN tag configuration
FTRACE settings
Name assigned to the port by the portName command.
Current health of the port (requires a Fabric Watch license).
Authentication type and associated parameters (ifapplicable) used on the
port at port online.
None
No authentication was performed.
FCAP
FCAP authentication was performed.
DHCHAP
DHCHAP authentication was performed. Also displays DH group and hash
type used for authentication.
Provides an explanation for the port's disabled status, if it has not been
disabled by portDisable or portCfgPersistentDisable.
Port control flags.
A bit map of port status flags, including information on the type of port,
whether it is fully online, and whether logins have been accepted.
The port's type and revision numbers.
The port's SNMP state:
Online
Up and running.
Offline
