6. Maintenance

The Hand-E C10 Gripper requires only external maintenance with limited downtime.
Maintenance is required after specified usage, measured in cycles (see Info box below for details about cycle definition).
Following the maintenance interval will ensure :
 
Correct functioning of your gripper.

Validity of your warranty.
l
 
Proper lifetime for your gripper.
l
 
WARNING
Unless otherwise indicated, any repairs done on the gripper will be performed by Robotiq.

A cycle is defined as a go to requested position command that results in grip force being applied ( closing
the fingers on themselves or picking an object while opening or closing).

Periodic Inspection
Rack and pinion
mechanism cleaning
 
CAUTION
Always turn off the robot and the gripper power supply before performing any maintenance operations.
 
Maintenance operations are for the average normal usage of the gripper, the maintenance intervals must be adjusted according to
environmental conditions such as:
 
Operating temperature

Humidity
l
 
Presence of chemicals
l
 
Presence of physical parts (debris, scraps, dust, grease etc.)
l
Daily
Dirty conditions
