Replacing the Material Filters

Filters are installed in the lines that supply model material to the print heads.
There are two configurations:
• In the old configuration, the material filter includes several luer fittings.
• In the new configuration, the material filter is connected directly and
In the next service visit, the old configuration will be replaced by the new
configuration. The new configuration prevents drips and reduces the
number of connections significantly.
To replace the material filter:
1. Prepare the following tools and materials:
2. Close the printer application.
3. Shut down the printer computer, and turn off the main power switch.
4. Using an 8-mm hex (Allen) key, open the latches that secure the back of the
DOC-18001 Rev. N
