Braking system
•
BUTTON «1» (with the engine run-
ning): activation / deactivation.
•
ICON «2»: operating indication icon.
Flashing mode:
- Off with the vehicle in gear:: the system is work-
ing, but is not active (normal condition).
- Flashing quickly with moving vehicle: The system
is functioning correctly and is active (poor grip con-
ditions, engine power limiting in effect); ride with
extreme care, as the grip limit has been exceeded;
restore the vehicle safety conditions by gently re-
ducing the throttle opening.
- Lit with moving vehicle: the system is disabled
and will not intervene in case of loss of grip.

If the deactivation was voluntary (by
pressing the appropriate button «1» for
1 second with the engine running) it is
recommended to reactivate the system
as soon as possible.

If the system was NOT deactivated vol-
untarily, this indicates an ASR system
fault.
To ensure maximum safety of the vehicle it is ad-
visable to keep the system active. Deactivation
may be necessary only in case of starting with very
low grip surfaces (mud, snow) on which the oper-
ation of the ASR could actually prevent the move-
ment of the vehicle.
N.B.
AT VEHICLE START-UP THE ASR ICON FLASHES AT THE
SAME FREQUENCY AS THE ABS WARNING LIGHT, INDI-
CATING A DIAGNOSTIC PHASE OF THE SYSTEM. IF NO
ERRORS ARE FOUND, THE ASR ICON AND THE ABS IN-
DICATOR LIGHT SWITCH OFF AT THE SAME TIME ONCE
THE VEHICLE SPEED EXCEEDS 5 Km/h (3 mph).
IF NO FLASHING OCCURS WHEN THE ENGINE IS STAR-
TED, THE SYSTEM MAY NOT BE WORKING.
