Intended Use

The primary use of this attachment is to support and carry the welding cables and lightweight accessories, such as hand-
grinders, etc, used during Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) or Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA or MMAW) —
commonly referred to as stick welding—of petroleum-product pipeline construction. The Slewing Canopy also provides a
limited degree of protection from the sun and wind.
The Slewing Canopy is not intended to be used as a lifting device or as a crane.
