Using the code conversion table, a bit pattern can be converted to another bit
pattern. Figure C-1 shows how the code conversion table is used.

pattern matched to the data bits specified by PAST,
CURRENT, NEXT and PAST OUTPUT, corresponding
output code is written to the destination.
