General Setup and Operation

Determine cause and appropriate corrective action (see
Alarms, Alerts, Prompts on page 108).

Reset nurse call system, as required.
The optional Computer Link feature allows a hospital/facility
computer to interact with the instrument. The computer cannot
start or stop the instrument, set the rate, or make any change in
status. The feature may be enabled or disabled by qualified
personnel in the instrument configuration settings. If the
feature is enabled (On) the user may select Monitor, to allow
the computer to receive information from the instrument, or Off.
When Off is selected, the computer cannot communicate with
the instrument.
To ensure continued electromagnetic compatibility
performance, the communications cable attached to the
instrument should be no longer than
have fully shielded connector housings, and have a
coverage braid/foil shield attached to the connector housings
around the signal conductors with the cable jacket.
