5.5 Wiring
Connection
Connect all cables to the front side of the modules:
• IO-Link to the 5-pole M12 connector (A-coded)
• Signal lines to the 3-pole M8 sockets or 4/5-pole M12 sockets (A-coded)
• Additional load voltage to the 5-pole M12 plug (L-coded)
Requirement
Wire the modules with the supply voltage off.
Required tool
If you are not using pre-assembled cables, you need the following tool:
• Stripping tool
• Screwdriver to wire the connection plugs
Accessories required for the connection of IO-Link
You need the following accessories:
• Cables
– Pre-assembled cable M12, 4-pole or 5-pole, or
– Flexible 3, 4 or 5-core copper cable (core cross-section: 0.25 to 0.5 mm
• 5-pole M12-A coded connecting socket
Accessories required for the connection of additional load voltage
You need the following accessories:
• Pre-assembled power cable M12-L coded, 4-pole or 5-pole
• Flexible 4-core or 5-core copper cable (core cross-section: 0.5 to 2.5 mm
• 4-pole or 5-pole M12-L coded socket
