SECTION 5 - BASIC HYDRAULIC INFORMATION & HYDRAULIC SCHEMATICS
CONTROL SOLENOIDS REMOVAL
1. Disconnect electrical connection and remove the three
cap screws (D050) using a 4.mm internal hex wrench.
2. Remove the solenoid (D025) and O-ring (D025A). Dis-
card the O-ring.
3. If necessary, remove the coil using a 12 point 26 mm
socket.
CONTROL SOLENOIDS INSPECTION
1. Inspect the machined surface on the control. If you find
any nicks or scratches, replace the component.
CONTROL SOLENOIDS REASSEMBLY
1. Lubricate new O-ring (D025A) using petroleum jelly and
install.
2. Install solenoid with three cap screws (D050) using a 4
mm internal hex wrench. Torque screws to 5 Nm [4 lbft].
3. Install coil using a 12 point 26 mm socket. Torque coil
nut to 5 Nm [3.7 lbft].
4. Reconnect electrical connections and test the pump for
proper operation.

The front pump input shaft assembly is serviceable without
disassembling the pump, the rear shaft is not. Orient the
pump on the work surface so the shaft is pointing to the side.
REMOVAL
1. Unwind the spiral ring (J300) from the housing to
release the shaft/seal/bearing subassembly.
2. Pry on the lip of the seal carrier (J275) to remove it from
the pump. Remove the seal carrier. Remove and discard
O-ring (J260). Press the seal (J250) out of the carrier and
discard.
3. Pull the shaft (J100) with bearing (J150) out of the
pump. If necessary, tap lightly on the shaft to dislodge it
from the cylinder block. C
DO NOT DAMAGE THE HOUSING BORE, SHAFT OR BEARING WHEN REMOV-
ING THE SHAFT AND BEARING.
4. Remove the retaining ring (J200) using retaining ring
pliers. Press the bearing off the shaft.
