Remove the hose connected to strainer block (2) of steer-
ing circuit, and remove strainer block (2) of steering circuit
from steering pump.

Remove the cap (3) of strainer block (2), and remove the
strainer (4).
7.
Clean the strainer (4) in clean diesel oil.
8.
Install the strainer (4) to strainer block (2), and install the
cap (3).
When installing, be sure to replace O-ring (5) with a new
one.
Tightening torque of cap (3): 270±30 Nm {27.5±3 kgm}
9.
Install the strainer block (2) to the steering pump, and in-
stall the hose.
When installing, be sure to replace O-ring (6) with a new
one.
10. Release the lock of cover (1), then close the cover.
11. Start the engine.
Run the engine at low idle for 3 minutes or more.
12. Run the engine at low idle, and perform the full steering to
right and left 3 times or more.
At this time, take care not to relieve the cylinder.
13. Stop the engine.

METHOD FOR CHECKING FUNCTION OF PPC ACCUMULATOR

For handling of the accumulator, see "HANDLE ACCUMULATOR AND GAS SPRING (2-44)".
When you cannot restart the stopped engine while the work equipment is raised, as urgent measures, you can
use the oil pressure stored in the accumulator to actuate the valve, then the work equipment can be lowered to
the ground.
REMARK
The check must be done within 2 minutes after the engine stops. If the engine is kept stopped, the gas pressure
in the accumulator lowers and the inspection cannot be made.
