EXPLANATION OF COMPONENTS
REMARK
• The ECSS system absorbs the machine vibration during travel with the hydraulic effect of the accumulator
to attain smooth high speed travel.
• The ECSS does not operate in 1st gear speed.
• If the travel speed becomes 5 km/h or higher while the gear speed is 2nd to 4th, the ECSS operates auto-
matically. If the travel speed becomes 4 km/h or lower, the ECSS stops operation automatically.
• When the bucket is empty and the work equipment is positioned at a low height, you may feel poor perform-
ance of the ECSS system. However, this is not a trouble.
DIRECTIONAL SELECTOR SWITCH
The directional selector switch is used to set the travel direction
of the machine.
(F) FORWARD position
It is used to drive the machine forward.
(N) NEUTRAL position
The machine does not move.
(R) REVERSE position
It is used to drive the machine in reverse.
Turn the directional selector switch to NEUTRAL position (N)
first, and start the engine.
When starting the engine, if the directional selector switch is not in NEUTRAL position (N), the engine does not
start, the centralized warning lamp lights up, and the alarm buzzer sounds.
REMARK
Do not hold the directional selector switch at a position between FOWARD position (F) and NEUTRAL position
(N), nor between NEUTRAL position (N) and REVERSE position (R).
Although the transmission operates as displayed in the shift indicator on the machine monitor, the alarm buzzer
sounds.
POWER MODE SELECTOR SWITCH
The power mode selector switch can be used to switch the en-
gine output to match the purpose of the operation.
Each time you press (a) of the power mode selector switch, the
state is switched between the economy mode and the power
mode repeatedly.
Economy mode
The economy mode is used for the fuel consumption conscious
operation such as the operation on the flat ground which does
not require the highest engine output.
Set it to the economy mode for normal operation.
The power mode display becomes the economy mode display.
Although the maximum engine speed is set lower than that of the power mode, the engine can output enough
power (except for heavy digging of the blasted rock, etc.) in the economy mode, and the fuel efficiency is im-
proved as well.
Also, the fuel efficiency can be improved if the accelerator pedal is depressed lightly.
Power mode
The power mode is used for the production conscious operation.
The power mode display becomes the power mode display.
In the power mode, the output corresponds to the depressed level of the accelerator pedal. Use it when a short
cycle time is required.
