TROUBLES AND ACTIONS
Problem
Lamp flickers while engine is run-
ning.
Unusual noise is generated from al-
ternator.
Battery charge level caution lamp
lights up while engine is running.
Starting motor does not rotate even
when starting switch is turned to
START position.
Pinion of starting motor repeats en-
gaging and disengaging (rattles).
Starting motor turns engine sluggish-
ly.
Starting motor disengages before
engine starts.
Preheating pilot lamp does not light
up.
Engine does not start.
("L04" lights up on monitor.)
