MACHINE OPERATIONS AND CONTROLS
The boom length differs corresponding to the bucket capacity. Always install the boom which matches
to the bucket capacity.
If the boom length is not suitable for the bucket capacity, the machine loses the balance and may tip
over.
For details of the combination of the bucket and boom, consult your Komatsu distributor.
NOTICE
Apply this method of removal and installation to the standard specification machine.
The method of removal and installation differs depending on the attachments and options installed.

For details of the removal and installation of the bucket or those of the machine with other than standard specifi-
cation, consult your Komatsu distributor.
Perform the following procedure when removing and installing the bucket for transportation, etc.
METHOD FOR REMOVING BUCKET
1.
Stop the machine on a level place.
2.
Set the parking brake switch to ON position.
3.
Chock the wheels.
4.
Operate the work equipment control levers, and lower the work equipment to the ground.
5.
Lock the work equipment with the work equipment lock switch.
Check that the work equipment lock pilot lamp is lit on the machine monitor.
6.
Stop the engine.
7.
Remove mounting bolt (1).
8.
Sling bucket link (3) and remove bucket link pin (2).
Secure bucket link (3) to the bell crank by using a lever
block, etc.
