OPERATION
EXPLANATION OF COMPONENTS
STARTING SWITCH
Starting switch is used to start or stop the engine.
(A) OFF position
The electrical current to the electrical system is cut off, the en-
gine stops, and the parking brake is automatically applied.
The key can be inserted into or removed from the starting
switch.
(B) ON position
Electric current flows through the charging circuit and lamp cir-
cuit.
Keep it at ON position (B) while the engine is running.
This machine is equipped with an engine automatic preheating device that functions to start the engine preheat-
ing automatically.
When the starting switch is turned to ON position (B) at low ambient temperature, the automatic preheating
starts and the preheating pilot lamp lights up.
When the engine preheating pilot lamp lights up, wait for a while until it goes out, then turn the starting switch to
START position (C).
This preheating time depends on the ambient temperature at the engine startup.
(C) START position
This is the position to start the engine.
Hold the key at START position (C) while cranking the engine. Let go of it immediately after the engine has been
started.
The starting switch automatically returns to ON position (B).
(D) Manual preheat position
In cold weather, you can extend the engine preheating time longer than the automatic preheating time. In that
case, rotate the starting switch key to manual preheat position (D).
When letting go of it, it returns to OFF position (A). Immediately turn it to START position (C) and start the en-
gine.
CIGARETTE LIGHTER
The cigarette lighter is used to light cigarettes.
When the cigarette lighter is pushed in, it will return to its origi-
nal position after a few seconds, so pull it out to use it.
If the cigarette lighter is removed, the socket can be used as an
85 W (24 V x 3.5 A) power supply.
NOTICE
This cigarette lighter is for 24 V. Do not use this as a power
supply for 12 V equipment.
