OPERATION
Set to power mode for the digging of the blasted rock, for the work requires the speed, and for traveling at a
high speed on a flat or uphill road.
Check the state of power mode at the power mode display on
the machine monitor.
REMARK
If the engine is started again after it has been stopped in the
power mode, the mode becomes to the economy mode. In cer-
tain areas, the mode setting at the engine start may be the
power mode.
If you want to make any change to the setting at the engine
start, consult your Komatsu distributor.
TRANSMISSION SHIFT MODE SELECTOR SWITCH
The transmission shift mode selector switch is used to switch
the transmission between the automatic shift and manual shift.
Normally, set it to automatic shift (a).
(a) Automatic shift
Automatic shift is effective.
Automatic shift pilot lamp lights up.
(b) Manual shift
Manual shift is effective.
Automatic shift pilot lamp goes out.
Gear speed is set to the gear speed shown on the shift indicator.
REMARK

DRIVING FORCE CONTROL DIAL
The driving force control operates only at FORWARD 1st.
The driving force control dial is for control of the driving force at
FORWARD 1st.
The driving force is controlled to vary within 20 to 100 % of the
driving force with the driving force control dial.
(a) Maximum
Driving force becomes 100 %.
Select 100 % usually.
(b) Minimum
Driving force becomes 20 %.
