MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
3.
Check that the coolant temperature is low enough to make
it possible to touch the radiator cap surface by bare hand,
turn radiator cap (2) slowly until it hits the stopper, and re-
lease the pressure.

Then, while pushing radiator cap (2), turn it until it touches
the stopper, and remove it.
5.
Prepare a container to catch the drained coolant.
6.
Install the hoses to drain plug (3) of radiator and coolant
drained port of drain plug (4) of oil cooler. Loosen drain
plugs (3) and (4), and drain the coolant.
REMARK
Use the attached hose to prevent the coolant splashing
around.
7.
After draining the coolant, tighten drain plugs (3) and (4).
8.
Pour the tap water through filler port of radiator.
Add water until it fills the radiator.
9.
Start the engine.
10. Depress accelerator pedal (5) lightly and run the engine at
a medium speed for approximately 10 minutes with no
load.
11. Stop the engine.
12. Loosen drain plugs (3) and (4), and drain the tap water.
13. After draining the tap water, tighten drain plugs (3) and (4),
and remove the hoses.
14. Add Non-Amine Engine Coolant (AF-NAC) through the
coolant filler port up to the mouth of the port.

NAC), see "Coolant density table".
15. Run the engine at low idle for 5 minutes to remove the air
from the coolant, then run at high idle for a further 5 mi-
nutes.
Keep radiator cap (2) removed during the above operations.
