MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
5.
Remove the hose connected to strainer block (2) of work
equipment circuit, and remove strainer block (2) (2 pieces)
of work equipment circuit from the work equipment pump.
6.
Remove the cap (3) of strainer block (2), and remove the
strainer (4).
7.
Clean the strainer (4) in clean diesel oil.
8.
Install the strainer (4) to strainer block (2), and install the
cap (3).
When installing, be sure to replace O-ring (5) with a new
one.
Tightening torque of cap (3): 270±30 Nm {27.5±3 kgm}
9.
Install the strainer block (2) to the work equipment pump,
and install the hose.
When installing, be sure to replace O-ring (6) with a new
one.
10. Release the lock of cover (1), then close the cover.
11. Start the engine.
Run the engine at low idle for 3 minutes or more.
12. Run the engine at low idle, and perform boom RAISE and
LOWER operation 4 times or more.
At this time, take care not to relieve the cylinder.
13. Run the engine at low idle, and perform bucket TILT and DUMP operation 4 times or more.
At this time, take care not to relieve the cylinder.
14. Stop the engine.

METHOD FOR CLEANING STEERING CIRCUIT STRAINER

Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
For details of air bleeding from hydraulic circuit, consult your Komatsu distributor.
1.
Set the bottom of bucket to be level, and lower the work equipment to the ground.
2.
Set the parking brake switch to ON position (operate).
3.
Stop the engine.
Wait for the temperature of each part to drop.
4.
Open cover (1) at the rear of cab, and fix it with the band.
