MACHINE OPERATIONS AND CONTROLS
NOTICE
During the high-speed travels listed below, do not shift down the gear speed in order to prevent over-
run.
(The travel speed specified in this section may vary depending on the conditions of use or on road sur-
face condition.)
When traveling with 13 km/h or more at FORWARD 3rd, do not shift down to FORWARD 2nd.
When traveling with 25 km/h or more at FORWARD 4th, do not shift down to FORWARD 3rd.
When the actual gear speed is in the rang of 2nd to 4th in both the forward and reverse, the torque converter
lockup is actuated corresponding to the actual travel speed and type of operation to shift the transmission to the
direct drive.
In order to prevent overrun, the lockup is automatically canceled if engine speed reaches 2500 rpm or more in
each gear speed.
Setting method for the torque converter lockup
Set the torque converter lockup according to the following pro-
cedure.
1.
Turn torque converter lockup switch (1) to ON position (a).
2.
Check that the torque converter lockup pilot lamp is lit on
machine monitor (2).
