OPERATION
Manual shift
There are 4 gear speeds in forward and reverse. The gear
speed can be changed by pressing the gear speed switch.
When performing the operation, use the 1st and 2nd. When
driving the machine, use the 3rd and 4th.
(a) Upshift switch
Upshifts the gear speed.
(b) Downshift switch
Downshifts the gear speed.
Automatic shift
The gear speed switch is used to change the gear speed range
for automatic shift.
There are 4 gear speeds in forward and reverse. The gear
speed is automatically changed among gear speeds of 1st to
4th depending on the travel condition.
(a) Upshift switch
The range of automatic gear shit for the gear speed increases.
(b) Downshift switch
The range of automatic gear shit for the gear speed decreases.
1st
The gear speed is fixed to 1st speed, and it is not changed automatically.
2nd
The gear speed is automatically changed between 1st and 2nd.
3rd
The gear speed is automatically changed in the range of 1st to 3rd.
4th
The gear speed is automatically changed in the range of 1st to 4th.
The gear speed is shifted automatically between the 2nd and the set gear speed of the gear speed switch, de-
pending on the travel speed.
The gear speed is shifted down from 2nd to 1st when the con-
dition is met. Such condition includes pressing the kickdown
switch, or starting digging operation.
REMARK
• When the travel speed is 12.5 km/h or lower, if the kick-
down switch is pressed, the gear speed can be shifted
down to 1st from any gear speed of the forward or reverse
travel.
This function facilitates the load-and-carry operation.
• When the travel speed is 12.5 km/h or higher, the gear
speed is lowered by one level each time the kickdown
switch is pressed in the order of F4, F3, and F2 while the
gear speed switch is in F4, and in the order of F3 and F2
while the gear speed switch is in F3.
When setting the gear speed to any speed for automatic shift
To select a gear speed for uphill or downhill travel or grading, use the following procedure.
