To maintain the PROFIdrive profile, the following must apply:
● Interconnect PZD receive word 1 as control word 1 (STW1).
● Interconnect PZD send word 1 as status word 1 (ZSW1). (The WORD format must be used
for PZD1)
One PZD (process data item) corresponds to one word.
The signals of the control and status words are connected via BICO to the corresponding
signals of the drive.

Editing telegrams
Overview
You can edit telegrams in the following way:
● Extending standard or Siemens telegrams
● Adding telegrams
Requirement
● You have created a SINUMERIK MCU and a SINAMICS drive (S210 or S120) and
connected them via a PROFINET fieldbus.
Extending telegrams
Send and receive telegrams can be extended in the same way. A send telegram is extended
in the send direction and a receive telegram is extended in the receive direction. You can set
the extension either in the table "Telegram configuration" or in the telegram detail screen form.
To extend a telegram, proceed as follows:
1. In the Inspector window, select "Properties > PROFINET interface > Telegram
configuration".
Telegrams that you have created are displayed for each existing drive object.
2. In the table "Telegram configuration", select a telegram.
3. In the field "Extension", enter the number of words by which you wish to extend the telegram.
4. Click in another field to accept the input.
The telegram is extended by the entered number of words.
You can have additional telegram details displayed in a communication screen form.
5. Click the link to open the appropriate communication screen form.
In the case of S120 drives, you can connect additional signals in this communication screen
form.
6. Interconnect the additional signals there.
