6.2 Commissioning drives with "Startdrive"
Starting the device configuration detection
1. You can start device configuration detection in one of the following ways:
– Project tree: In the shortcut menu of a drive unit or of a CU in the project tree, select the
– Device view: In the device view in the shortcut menu of a CU, select the "Device
– Network view: In the network view in the shortcut menu of a CU, select the "Device
– Main menu: Run "Device configuration detection" in the "Online" menu.
Note
In order for you to be able to read the actual topology, there must be an online connection
between the PG/PC and the drive unit. If a connection does not yet exist, the Connect
devices online dialog box opens. In this dialog, establish a connection with the drive unit.
The topology of the drive unit is read out: Existing DRIVE-CLiQ interconnections are
transferred directly from the actual topology of the drive unit.
The "Device configuration detection" dialog is displayed.
