Installing SINUMERIK Commissioning
Description
The SINUMERIK Commissioning installation package is located on the installation medium
supplied.
Note
The term "installation medium" is synonymous with USB, download, or other supplied media.
Requirement
● The hardware and software of the PC meet the system requirements.
● You have administrator rights on your computer.
● All running programs are closed.
To install SINUMERIK Commissioning
1. Navigate to the setup files on the installation medium of SINUMERIK Commissioning.
2. Double-click "Setup_SINUMERIK_Commissioning.exe". The installation wizard opens.
3. Follow the wizard's instructions and confirm the prompts.
4. You must restart the computer once the installation has been completed.
SINUMERIK Commissioning is now installed.
Further procedure
Set the PG/PC interface so that communication between SINUMERIK Commissioning and the
MCU is possible.
3.6.1
Configuring the PG/PC interface
Description
You must set the PG/PC interface to enable communication between TIA Portal or
SINUMERIK Commissioning and MCU. To make the configuration, use the Siemens
communication settings application.
If you select an interface parameter assignment, then assign this to the access point. This
means that you establish the connection between the access point, the interface parameter
assignment and the interface itself.
