Precondition
The Siemens communications settings application is installed on the computer.
Note
The application is a system tool and part of TIA Portal.
This is how you configure the PG/PC interface using the Siemens communication settings application
1. Under Windows, select "Start > Control Panel" > "All control panel elements"
2. Click "Communication settings".
The "Siemens communication settings" window opens.
3. Click "Access points" in the navigation.
The available access points are displayed in the right-hand area.
4. Click the arrow in front of "S7ONLINE" to display the settings.
5. In the "Used interface parameter assignment" field, select the "<network adapter>.TCPIP.1"
entry. <network adapter> is a placeholder for the interface name of your deployed hardware.
6. Click "Apply".
7. Click the arrow in front of "SINUMERIK_CP1543" to display the settings.
8. In the "Assigned interface parameter assignment" field, select the "<network
adapter>.TCPIP.1" entry. <network adapter> is a placeholder for the interface name as
used previously.
9. Click "Apply".
10.Select "File > Exit" in the menu to close the window.
Note
If you have installed SINUMERIK Commissioning on the MCU, then use interface
"Intel(R) l210 Gigabit Backplane Connection" in the access point.
Result
You have now configured the access points for the application. SINUMERIK Commissioning
can now be used.
