Interpolatory compensation

5.4.1

General information

Compensation methods
The "interpolatory compensation" function uses the following two compensation methods:
● "Leadscrew error compensation" or "measuring system error compensation" (referred to
● Sag compensation or angularity error compensation, referred to as sag compensation
Many of the characteristics of these two compensation methods are identical and are
therefore described in the next Section "General notes".

The difference between the axis position measured by the position actual-value encoder
and the required programmed axis position (= axis position of the ideal machine). The
compensation value is often also referred to as the correction value.

compensation value.
