Before you turn on power to the unit, make sure that installation is complete, and verify that the
MBT-5000A is connected to the proper prime power source, RF Input, and RF Output. Refer to
Chapter 3. REAR PANEL CONNECTIONS for instruction on how to operate the rear panel.
Switch on the unit and verify the cooling fan is operational, the LED indicators illuminate as
expected, and the Vacuum Fluorescent Display is readable.

Front Panel Operation
The operational condition of the MBT-5000A is represented by two
sets of five front panel LED indicators – one set each for Side A
and Side B.

Red
...has active faults.
Amber
...is in Mute Mode.
Green
...is operational.
Green
...is operating as an Up Converter.
Green
...is operating as a Down Converter.
