6.2 Monthly Maintenance
This section describes routine maintenance items for an indoor unit. Record maintenance
results in the table after a maintenance item is complete.

Operation
Check that the air filter is
clean and not blocked.
Check that the air filter is not
damaged or distorted.
Check that the indoor fan
guard is not distorted.
Check that the indoor fan
blades are intact.
Check that no foreign matter
exists in the fan.
Check that the indoor fan
generates no abnormal sound
during operation, such as
metal friction sound and
harsh noises.
Check that the screws on the
indoor fan are not loose or
distorted.
water pan is not blocked.
Check that the humidifier
float has no scale.
Check that the humidifier
float functions properly.
Check that the wet film and
humidifier water pan are
clean and have no scale.
Check that no operating
overtime alarm is generated
on the wet film humidifier.
Check that the upstream filter
of the humidifier water pump
is not dirty or blocked.

6 System Operation and Maintenance
Troubleshooting
Clean the air filter.
Replace the air filter (It is recommended
that an air filter should be replaced every
6 months).
Repair or replace the fan guard.
Replace the fan.
Clear foreign matter.
Clear foreign matter and check that
screws securing the fan are tightened.
Tighten or replace the screws.
Clean the water pan.
Clean up the scale from the humidifier
float.
Repair or replace the humidifier float.
Wash the wet film and humidifier water
pan with clean water. If there is serious
water scale, replace the wet film.
Replace the wet film humidifier (It is
recommended that an air filter should be
replaced every 12 months).
Clean or replace the filter.
Replace the filter.
