c. Slide out the rail extensions.
4. Install the kit as follows. See
NOTE: To properly orient the SDCM Server Hardware Kit in the rack, installation requires two
technicians. Position one technician at the front of the rack, and one technician at the rear of the
rack.
a. To avoid tipping the shelf kit, hold the server shelf kit firmly, placing one hand at
the front of the sliding shelf and one hand at the rear of the tray.
b. Lift the server shelf kit, and position at the front of the rack.
c. Align the kit with the cage nuts installed earlier (see step 2).
