4. Verify that call-home event notification is enabled through the SDCM Server.
a. In the Product, Fabric, on Session View, place the cursor over the Maintenance
icon on the navigation control panel to open the Maintenance menu.
b. If a check mark appears in the check box, call home is enabled. If a check mark
does not appear in the check box, click the menu option to add a check mark.
5. Enable Call-Home Notification for each director.
a. In the Hardware View for each director, place the cursor over the Maintenance icon
on the navigation control panel to open the Maintenance menu.
b. Click the Enable Call-Home Notification option to place a check mark in the check
box.
c. Repeat steps a and b for each director.
6. Reboot the SDCM Server.
NOTE: Rebooting the SDCM Server does not adversely effect the operation of the director or
fabric.

Test Remote Notification

If the call-home and e-mail notification features are enabled, set up the SDCM application
to test these remote notification features. Because the features are configured at the SDCM
application, call-home and e-mail notification are enabled for multiple Directors.
NOTE: Complete the steps in the previous sections, "Configure and Enable Email Notification"
and "Configure and Enable the Call-Home Feature," prior to using test remote notification.
Use these steps to test remote notification.
1. Close the Hardware View for the Director and return to the Product View by clicking
the Close icon at the navigation control panel.
2. Open Product View. Click the Maintenance icon at the navigation control panel and
select Test Remote Notification from the pop-up menu. The Test Remote Notification
dialog box displays. See

3. Check the Call-Home and E-Mail check boxes.
