8-28 CHASSIS
• Pull the inner tube out of the outer tube.
• Remove the oil lock piece G.
• Remove the oil seal H, spacer I, guide bushing J and slide
bushing K.

INSPECTION

INNER AND OUTER TUBE
Inspect the inner tube sliding surface and outer tube sliding sur-
face for any scuffing or damage.
FRONT FORK SPRING
Measure the fork spring free length. If the fork spring free length
is shorter than the service limit, replace the fork spring with a
new one.
 Front fork spring free length
Service limit: 338 mm (13.3 in)
DAMPER ROD RING
Inspect the damper rod ring for wear or damage. If it is worn or
damaged, replace it with a new one.
