seated, a fault will display during press operation. If so, repeat the power down and
print head alignment process of this procedure.
22. Remove the ground clip from the print bar and remove the ESD wrist strap.
23. Grab the handles and push the Print Box Unit in completely.
24. Close the Left Tower.
25. Rotate turn knob clockwise until it stops.
26. Restore power to the printer system. Refer to the instructions.
27. Close the Print Engine Module Front Left Door.
28. Run the DC965 routine and then DC141 routine with all phases selected.

How to Replace Print Heads from Right Marking Tower

If there is reason to believe that a Print Head is defective, please see the
Overview
section and follow the appropriate troubleshooting procedures prior to
contacting Xerox support.
Only perform a Print Head replacement if directed.
Caution
Power off the CiPress before removing or replacing a Print Head. Failing to power off
the CiPress will cause damage to the Print Head and Print Box Unit and void the Print
Head warranty.
1. Make sure the print engine is idle and no jobs are currently printing.
2. Open the Print Engine Module Front Right Door.
