5. Open the Outfeed Module Left Front Door.
6. Rotate the Radiant Heater Access Panel thumbscrew counterclockwise.
7. Open and lower the Radiant Heater Access Panel.
8. Inspect and vacuum clean the base of the Radiant Heater cavity as required.
9. Close the Radiant Heater Access Panel.
10. Rotate the Radiant Heater Access Panel thumbscrew clockwise until the Access Panel
is secured into place.
11. Rotate and inspect the entire Image Spreading Drum surface and clean as required.
12. Rotate and inspect the entire Idler Roll surface and clean as required.
13. Inspect the Static Eliminator Brushes along the Outfeed S-Wrap Rolls and clean as
required.
14. Close the Outfeed Module Right Front Door and the Outfeed Module Left Front Door.
15. Select Reset on the Printer UI to clear the Emergency Stop fault.
16. Cleaning of the Printer web path is complete.

Cleaning the Exterior Printer Cover Doors

The steps below describe how to properly clean the front cover doors of the press.
Note
Do not use any other cleaning solvent other than Formula A supplied by Xerox.
1. Ensure the CiPress is idle and no jobs are currently printing.
2. Using only Formula A, make sure to pour a small amount of the Formula A cleaning
solution onto the cloth first and not directly on the cover. Do not saturate or soak
the cloth.
3. With the dampened cloth, wipe down the cover area.
4. Always use a new cloth for each different color panel (for example, use one cloth for
a white cover and another cloth for a blue cover).

Cleaning the Touch Screen

Use this procedure when the surface of the Touch Screen is dirty and requires cleaning.
1. Select the Administration View icon.
2. Select the System and Maintenance tabs.
3. Select Clean.
The touch recognition functionality of the Touch Screen is disabled for a short period
of time.
4. Wipe the surface of the Touch Screen with a lint free wipe and Lens and Mirror Cleaner
until clean.
