16. Place the first printed target (page one) to be scanned and measured into the
spectrophotometer.
Note
Ensure that the Header of the calibration target is facing forward towards the
spectrophotometer. See the graphic earlier in this procedure for more information.
The calibration target is automatically fed into the spectrophotometer and read.
17. After the first calibration target is read, repeat the instructions above for the second
printed target (page two).
18. Select OK.
19. When the specrophotometer finishes reading the second printed target, ensure that
the Measurement Status reads 642/642.
20. Select Save Data and browse to the folder created earlier in this procedure.
21. Ensure the file has the following parameters:
• Select CGATS from the Format drop-down menu.
• Select None (XRGA) from the Conversion drop-down menu.
• Select 400nm - 700nm from the Spectral Range drop-down menu.
• Select 0-1 from the Value Scale drop-down menu.
• Type a filename with the following formatting:
dc142_[year]_[month]_[day]_[printerspeed] (Example:
dc142_2012_January_03_500).
• Select the DC142 folder.
22. Select OK.
The file is saved to the specified folder.
23. Perform one of the following procedures to transfer the color calibration file(s) to the
CiPress Printer:

DC 610 Image Registration Overview

DC 610 Image Registration aligns the one master print head in the system to the paper.
It also defines the top of the form for an image frame.
Instructions for running this routine are given on the CiPress UI.
Note
Registration on pinfed paper requires a pre-printed mark; registration to the pinholes is
not supported.
