Caution
Power off the CiPress before removing or replacing a Print Head. Failing to power
off the CiPress will cause damage to the Print Head and Print Box Unit and void the
Print Head warranty.
6. If needed, allow the Print Box Unit and print heads to cool approximately 15 minutes.
Note
If you have difficulty reaching the upper portion of the Tower to perform the following
task, use the Xerox-supplied maintenance platform.
Warning
Performing maintenance activities with arms above the shoulders can cause personal
injury. In addition, using ladders or elevation methods not designed for work on this
machine can result in injuries from loss of balance or bodily strain. Do not perform
maintenance on any part of the machine that is above shoulder height without using
a suitably-designed maintenance platform. A suitable design has a height of 20
inches and a top platform area that is at least 24 x 36 inches. These dimensions
ensure sufficient height for all users and also provide room to maneuver while
performing maintenance tasks.
