Operating the CiPress User Interface
There are five tabs in the Administration view:
Tab
Description
Call for Assistance
Manually send collected system data to Xerox or set timing for regular
automatic transmission of the data.
Meters
Read the meters, send the Total Counts to Xerox, and reset Current
Counts to zero.
Test Patterns
Select and print test patterns.
Software
Download software updates and verify current software and licenses
installed on the system.
System
Perform various activities including deactivate the touch screen to clean
it, calibrate the touch screen, eject removable media, and set the job
eject timer for the print engines.
In the Administration view, an Advanced Operator can perform a variety of tasks
including:
• Set up the data transmission of service and printer information to Xerox (call for
assistance)
• Check billing meters
• Select and print test patterns
• Locate detailed information about software and system features
• Calibrate the Touch Screen UI and suspend operation to clean it
