Secondary Refrigerant Selection Rules
The secondary refrigerant can be either water or glycol solution. Rules for selecting the
secondary refrigerant are as follows:


If the local lowest temperature recorded is above 0° C and municipal water quality meets
requirements, it is recommended that municipal water be used as the secondary
refrigerant.
