9.1.2 Commissioning the UPS5000-E

Prerequisites


Preparations
Tool: multimeter
Documents: UPS5000-E user manual, power supply and distribution device layout diagram,
power supply and distribution system diagram, UPS5000-E initial configuration table
Skill requirement: power distribution system engineer
Procedure
Step 1 Switch on the input power circuit breaker of the UPS5000-E to power on the UPS5000-E.
Step 2 Switch on the battery circuit breaker in the battery switch box.
Step 3 Turn on the UPS, enter the user name and password to enter the operation screen, and verify
that initial parameter settings are consistent with the initial configuration table.






Step 4 After verifying that the initial configurations are correct, switch on the UPS5000-E output
circuit breakers.

Issue 02 (2017-01-10)
The upstream PDC of the UPS5000-E has been powered on.
Power modules and batteries have been installed and connected, and the installation has
been verified.
For the diagrams and tables, see the initial configuration parameter manual for the solution in use.
If any alarm is raised, rectify the fault before continuing the commissioning.
During the power-on commissioning, you are not allowed to switch on the bypass circuit
breaker for the UPS5000-E.
During the power-on commissioning, you are not allowed to modify the UPS5000-E initial
configurations if not authorized by Huawei onsite engineers.
For the setting method, see the UPS5000-E user manual.
The UPS5000-E can work in single or parallel mode. Check the initial configurations
against the UPS5000-E initial configuration table based on the actual situation.
(Optional) You are recommended to Language to the local language after all settings are
completed.
