With the chiller water pumps shut down, only air accumulated in the chillers can be expelled
after the preceding steps are conducted.
Step 7 Start the water pumps for the water chillers.
Power on the chillers, and start the chiller water pumps. You can start the water pumps on the
chiller operation panel with the power to the compressor disconnected.
Step 8 During water circulation, it is recommended that you expel air from all LCUs for one or two
times at an interval of 30 minutes.
For each air expelling process, start the secondary refrigerant refill device to fill secondary
refrigerant into the refrigerating system.
If a Water Flow Switch Protection alarm is generated during air expelling, disconnect
power supply from the corresponding chiller. The alarm is caused as air is accumulated in
the water pump. Expel the air and restart the chiller. Then turn on the chiller 10 minutes
after the alarm disappears.
If glycol solution is used as the secondary refrigerant, dispose of the glycol solution
collected during air expelling in accordance with local laws.
Step 9 (Optional) Shut down the chiller water pumps.
