Step 3 Wait until the secondary refrigerant flows continuously out of the transparent pipe which
means all air has been expelled and close the LCU manual exhaust valve.


Step 4 After the air is completely expelled, reinstall the rear sealing panel for the LCU.

4.5.7.3 Expelling Air from Chillers

Prerequisites
The auxiliary water refill devices keep filling secondary refrigerant to the system.
If glycol solution is used as the secondary refrigerant, wear rubber gloves for the operation
and prepare a water container to collect the secondary refrigerant flowing from the cooling
system.
Issue 02 (2017-01-10)
With the chiller water pumps shut down, only air accumulated in the LCUs can be
expelled after you conduct the preceding steps.
With the chiller water pumps started, perform the preceding steps to expel air from the
LCUs for several times more until no air is coming out.
