PROFIsafe
PROFIsafe is a protocol for secure communication, and is certified in accordance
with IEC 61784-3-3.
For the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750, I/O modules were developed with safety-
related inputs and outputs (PROFIsafe I/O modules) without any drastic changes
to the existing series 750 system, making mixed operation of safety-related and
non-safety-related I/O modules possible.

A safe PLC (PROFIsafe and PROFIBUS or PROFINET master) is used with
PROFIBUS or PROFINET interface as the controller.
