6A-6. Exposure Lamp Replacement
[FT3050/FT3060]
CAUTION: * To avoid warping the scanner, move it
by pushing or pulling the wire clamp
or scanner drive pulley only.
* Do not handle the exposure lamp with
your bare hands. Use a strip of
paper as shown. (Finger oil marks on
the lamp or reflectors will be affected
by heat, resulting in discoloration.)
1. Remove the platen cover and the platen cover
studs.
Remove the top cover and the exposure glass

(10 screws).
Move the scanner to the position where the

frame is cut out.
4. Remove the rear reflector cover (2 screws).
5. Rotate the lamp terminal as shown and take
out the lamp.
Install a new lamp.

7. Check the lamp position and light intensity.

NOTE: * The blister on the lamp must point toward
the mouth of the reflector.
