6F-12. Checking Hot Roller Temperature
1. Push the slide unit to the left.
2.
Remove the exit assembly cover (2 screws).
3.
Open the exit assembly and lower the exit
quide plate.
4. Reset the slide unit.
5. Turn on the main switch and wait 10 minutes.
6. Press the probe of the digital surface ther-
mometer against the middle of the hot roller.
7. After the probe has warmed up (about 30
sec.), read the temperature.
* Lamp ON temperature: 185 ± 5°C
NOTE: * With the DIP switches on the fusing con-
trol unit, the operating temperature can be
raised or lowered about 5°C.
* If the temperature is too high, the thermistor may
not be making good contact.
