6A-7. Scanner Drive Wire Replacement
[FT3050/FT3060]
1. Remove the platen cover and the platen cover
mounting studs.
2. Remove the top cover (8 screws).
3. Remove the rear cover (2 screws) and the left
cover (3 screws).
4. Remove the following parts;
* Inlet cooling fan (5 screws, connectors as
necessary)
* Exhaust fan (2 screws)
NOTE: All screws on the optics frame installed in
the horizontal direction must be short
screws (M4 x 6).
Unhook the ends of the scanner drive wire.

Take out the magnification change clamp and

the old wire (1 screw).
7. Clamp the new wire to the magnification
change clamp as shown.
* The left end should be about 180 mm (7.9")
long.
