Clean the exposure glass with glass cleaner
and dry cloth.
5. Do not touch the following parts with bare
hands:
Reflectors
a.
b. Exposure Lamp
c. Mirrors and Lens
6. Clean the mirrors with only alcohol or water
and a soft cloth.
7.
Clean the toner shield glass with glass cleaner
at every service call.
8.
Secure the left scale with short screws to
avoid scanner damage (M4 x 6 — 2 screws).
Development
1. Be careful not to nick or scratch the develop-
ment roller sleeve.
2. Place a sheet of paper under the development
unit when it is out of the copier.
3. Clean the development unit guide plate before
reinstalling the unit.

Toner
1. Image density sensor should be cleaned at
every EM or PM with a blower brush.
2. Do not touch the sensor pattern with bare
hands.
Image density sensor adjustment is required
3.
when:
a. A new drum is installed.
b. The sensor PCB or the upper registration
roller cover is moved.
c. A new sensor is installed.
Cleaning
1. Do not damage the edge of the cleaning blade.
2. Do not touch the cleaning brush with oily
hands.
3. Be careful not to damage the drum with the
pick-off pawls when pulling out or inserting
the cleaning unit.
