6A-3. Uneven Exposure Adjustment
I. Exposure Lamp Position
1. Remove the top cover and the exposure glass
(10 screws).
2. Verify that the lamp is properly seated.
3 . Move the scanner to the right.
4.
Open the by-pass feed table, the black inner
cover, and the toner cartridge holder.
5. Remove the two cover plates (1 screw each).
6. Through the sight holes in the reflector, con-
firm the lamp filament position (See figure).
7. Correct the horizontal position by tightening
or loosening the two adjusting screws.
NOTE: The vertical adjustment is done in produc-
tion only.
