6D-3. Paper Lift Detector Adjustment
1. Load about 20mm (0.8") of paper into the
cassette and set it to the copier.
2. Turn on the main switch.
3. Check the clearance between the pick-up
roller and the paper.
* If it is 2 ± 1 mm (0.08" ± 0.04"), the following
steps are unnecessary.

Open the by-pass feed table and the inner
cover.
5. Remove the toner tank cover (2 screws).
6. Move the adjusting plate of the paper lift
detector up or down until the clearance is 2 ±
1 mm (0.08" ± 0.04").

Close the inner cover and the by-pass feed
table, and check the clearance between the
pick-up roller and the paper.
8. Remove all the paper from the cassette and
check the clearance again.
