5. Diagnosis/error treatment

System bits and system words

The diagnostic information in the following table
applies to all FIPIO field bus slaves. They are
described in detail in your device manual. The
valve terminal affects these system bits and words
like any other slave. Fault detection at the
application level can be programmed accordingly.

Each bit of these 4 system words
indicates the status of a connection
point. A bit set to 0 signals a data
exchange error with a device.
These system words are set by the
valve terminals, e.g.
SW118,1 for the field bus address 1,
SW119,0 for the field bus address 16,
etc.
Error bit, allocated to each device on
the FIPIO.
